Spiritual Traditions
Shamanism |
Shamanism means literally to "heat up" – to raise vibrational energy. This is an ancient tradition that came from a place of wisdom. It is a way of being at one with all things – to revere and walk in harmony with nature. It is a great place of personal power when we honour the full circle of life by walking in balance between our physical and spiritual worlds.
Shamanic healing, like other healing modalities, works with energy. Should any blocks or discomfort be discovered during this journey, gentle breathwork and imagery can be used for release and repatterning of energy. Healing takes place at the physical, emotional and spiritual level. This ancient art of healing brings a new depth and an authentic connection to self. |
Agni Yoga
|
Agni Yoga has been described as the most advanced spiritual philosophy ever given to humanity. Written by Helena Roerich through the inspiration of her Teachers, the Mahatmas, The Agni Yoga Teachings include profound wisdom about the use of energy, the sacredness of the circle and also teaches about heart, fire, ethics and community.
The Agni Yoga Society describes it: "as a path not of physical disciplines, meditation, or asceticism—but of practice in daily life. It is the yoga of fiery energy, of consciousness, of responsible, directed thought. It teaches that the evolution of the planetary consciousness is a pressing necessity and that, through individual striving, it is an attainable aspiration for mankind..." Sacred Space |
All Shamanic work – women's circles, healing sessions, workshops, ceremonies or prayers – begins with the creation of Sacred Space. A circle is cast in a format similar to a prayer. First there is a call to the creator and our teachers. Then a call to the four directions, the elementals and our blessed Mother Earth and all Her creatures. A prayer of intention is formed to connect with guidance and support from spirit helpers and power animals.
Sacred Space takes us from head to heart and creates a link which enables the shaman to begin collaborative work with spirit. Working in this way enhances the possibilities for healing and wholeness. It ultimately returns us to the Sacred – the place of beauty. |
